| Hydroseeding Hydroseeding is a proven planting process, which uses a slurry of water, mulch, seed and fertilizer. A tank mounted truck equipped with a special pump is used for application. The mix is sprayed onto topsoil and transforms into a uniform lawn in a few weeks, depending on the season and climate where it is applied.
|
| Hydroseed typically germinates faster than seeds alone, because seeding requires several days of watering to reach the same level of moisture saturation the grass needs to grow.

Advantages of Hydroseeding *Speed An area that has been hydroseeded and properly watered will start to grow in approximately 7 days. Under normal conditions, the new lawn will be well established in 3-4 weeks. If you are planting a relatively large area, hydroseeding can be completed in a very short period of time.

*Cost Hydroseeding will typically cost less than planting with sod. Purchasing sod is expensive, even if you know how to lay it yourself. Hydroseed will cost 70%-80% less than sod and give you an equally beautiful lawn.
| *Health Hydroseeded grass starts out in the soil you place it in. Hydroseeded lawns grow in healthy and full to crowd out weeds and resist disease.
| *Coverage Hydroseed creates an evenly covered area that forms a crust to hold seed in place and retain water and fertilizer. The result is a full, lush lawn. Hydroseeding can be very effective for hillsides and sloping lawns to help with erosion control and quick planting.

Not all types of grass can be grown with hydroseeding, but most common varieties - including Bermuda, Buffalo, Zoyzia, Fescue - can be hydroseeded.
